Shelby County Wildcats (Columbiana, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Ariton Purple Cats (Ariton, AL), 7-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, Shelby County upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Citronelle (Citronelle, AL) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league test on Friday, March 10. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 4-5.

With the defeat, Ariton falls to 4-3 on the season. The Purple cats travel to Tuscaloosa Academy (Tuscaloosa, AL) to battle the Knights in a non-league test on Saturday, March 11.
