In Thursday's non-league contest, the Crystal River Pirates (Crystal River, FL) softball team held off the visiting Nature Coast Tech Sharks (Brooksville, FL), by a margin of 4-3.

With the triumph, Crystal River moves its record to 7-2 on the year. The Pirates travel to Chiefland (Chiefland, FL) to play the Indians in a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 14. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 2-3.

In their next game, the Sharks play the Hudson Cobras (Hudson, FL) in a 4A District 5 contest, on Monday, March 20. Nature Coast Tech will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Cobras come into the contest with a 4-5 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to River Ridge (New Port Richey, FL).
