California High School Softball - Santa Margarita bounces St. Anthony
March 9, 2023: Long Beach, CA 90802 Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Santa Margarita Eagles (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) and the host St. Anthony Saints (Long Beach, CA), witnessed Santa Margarita's softball squad tip St. Anthony by a count of 6-1.
The Eagles now sport a 9-1 record. They play next when they travel to Trabuco Hills for a non-league match on Friday, March 10. Santa Margarita will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-4.
With the loss, St. Anthony moves to 1-6 on the season. The Saints travel to Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA) to face the Lancers in a Del Rey match on Thursday, March 9. The Lancers go into the match with a record of 4-3. Bishop Amat won 12-3 in their recent league match against St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA)
