The Tuscola Mountaineers the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils softball squad by a count of 3-1 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Mountaineers (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Panthers go into the Mountain Seven 3A battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Franklin nudged East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC), 13-3, in a league battle.

The Maroon Devils now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Asheville Trailblazers for a non-league battle on Friday, March 10. Swain County will meet a Trailblazers squad coming off a 15-10 non-league loss to Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Trailblazers record now stands at 0-1.
