South Carolina High School Baseball - Sumter can't hold off South Florence
March 9, 2024: Florence, SC 29505 In Saturday's non-league game, the host South Florence Bruins baseball team scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Sumter Gamecocks.
The Bruins (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Hartsville (Hartsville, SC). The Red Foxes go into the 4A Region 6 game with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Hartsville tipped Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC), 1-0, in a non-league game.
The Gamecocks (5-1) will now prepare for their game against St. James (Murrells Inlet, SC). The Sharks go into the 5A Region 5 game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, St. James was edged by Berkeley (Moncks Corner, SC), 8-1, in a non-league game.
