Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host United South Panthers (Laredo, TX), 11-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Weslaco upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to La Joya (La Joya, TX) to battle the Coyotes in a non-league test on Saturday, March 9. The Coyotes come into the test with a record of 6-9. La Joya lost 7-0 in their recent non-league test against Palmview (La Joya, TX)

With the defeat, United South falls to 10-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to United (Laredo, TX) to battle the Longhorns in a 6A Region IV District 30 test on Tuesday, March 19. The Longhorns come into the test with a record of 9-6.
