California High School Volleyball - Hawthorne tips Del Lago Academy
March 9, 2024: Hawthorne, CA 90250 The Hawthorne Cougars (Hawthorne, CA) volleyball nudged the visiting Del Lago Academy Firebirds (Escondido, CA), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The Cougars (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Centennial (Compton, CA). The Apaches come into the Ocean battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, Centennial was edged by California Academy of Math & Science (Carson, CA), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Firebirds clash with the Escondido Adventist Academy Hawks (Escondido, CA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 12. Del Lago Academy will attempt to advance on its 1-12 season record. The Hawks come into the battle with a 0-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Ramona (Ramona, CA).
