Louisiana High School Softball - Denham Springs bounces Ascension Catholic
March 9, 2024: Denham Springs, LA 70726 Denham Springs Yellowjackets (Denham Springs, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA), 11-7 in a non-league challenge.
The Yellowjackets now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host East Ascension for a 5A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 12. Denham Springs will face a Spartans squad coming off a 10-9 non-league win over Hahnville (Boutte, LA). The Spartans record now stands at 10-6.
With the loss, Ascension Catholic falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host East Iberville (St. Gabriel, LA) to face the Tigers in a 1A District 8 challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-2.
