Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), 19-7 in a non-league test.

With the win, Draughn upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Wildcats host Owen (Black Mountain, NC) to battle the Warhorses in a Western Highlands 1A/2A test on Tuesday, March 14. The Warhorses come into the test with a record of 0-4. Owen lost 12-1 in their recent non-league test against Erwin (Asheville, NC)

With the defeat, Freedom falls to 2-2 on the season. The Patriots host Chase (Forest City, NC) to battle the Trojans in a non-league test on Monday, March 13. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 3-2. Chase won 6-1 in their recent non-league test against Crest (Shelby, NC)
