March 10, 2023: Augusta, GA 30904 The crowd at Friday's league test between the Aquinas Fightin' Irish (Augusta, GA) and the visiting Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA), saw Aquinas's soccer squad knock off Towns County by a margin of 2-0.
The Fightin' Irish now sport a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Lincoln County for a 1A D-II Area 8 test on Tuesday, March 14. Aquinas will meet a Red Devils squad coming off a 9-1 league loss to Georgia Military College (Milledgeville, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 3-6.
With the loss, Towns County drops to 1-6 on the season. The Indians travel to Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA) to meet the Titans in a 1A D-II Area 8 test on Friday, March 17. The Titans come into the test with a record of 6-1.
