March 10, 2023: Athens, GA 30622 Westminster Christian Academy Lions (Watkinsville, GA) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines (Athens, GA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Lions confront the Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers (Augusta, GA) in a GIAA AA District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, March 14. Westminster Christian Academy will attempt to better on its 3-0 season record. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 5-3 non-league loss to Fox Creek (North Augusta, SC).
The Wolverines now have a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oglethorpe County for a 1A D-I Area 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 14. Prince Avenue Christian will confront a Patriots team coming off a 6-0 league win over Jasper County (Monticello, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 2-6.
