The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD) and the visiting Northern Patriots (Owings, MD), saw DeMatha's baseball team gain a win over Northern by a tally of 8-1.

The Stags (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against The Heights (Potomac, MD). The enter the Washington Catholic battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, The Heights was overwhelmed by St. John's Catholic Prep (Buckeystown, MD), 12-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Patriots face the Northeast Eagles (Pasadena, MD) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, March 12. Northern will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
