March 10, 2025: Monroe, NC 28110 The Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) volleyball knocked off the visiting Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), 2-0 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Cardinals now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Weddington for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 13. Union Academy will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Legion Collegiate Academy (Rock Hill, SC). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Piedmont drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league bout on Thursday, March 13.
