March 10, 2025: Millers Creek, NC 28651 The West Wilkes Blackhawks softball squad (Millers Creek, NC), was routed 13-5 in Monday's non-league contest with the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC)
With the triumph, Alexander Central improves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Cougars host Maiden (Maiden, NC) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league contest on Wednesday, March 12. The Blue Devils enter the contest with a record of 2-2. Maiden lost 7-2 in their recent league contest against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC)
The Blackhawks now hold a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Surry Central for a Foothills 2A contest on Tuesday, March 11. West Wilkes will face a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to West Stokes (King, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 1-1.
