Slaton Tigers (Slaton, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX), 11-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Childress for a 3A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 21.

With the loss, West Texas falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Comanches host Canadian (Canadian, TX) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 14.
