March 11, 2024: Destrehan, LA 70047 In Monday's non-league contest, the Destrehan Wildcats (Destrehan, LA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting L.W. Higgins Hurricanes (Marrero, LA), by a margin of 20-0.
With the triumph, Destrehan moves its record to 11-5 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Bourgeois (Gray, LA) to play the Braves in a 5A District 7 contest on Tuesday, March 12. The Braves come into the contest with a record of 8-5. Bourgeois won 9-7 in their recent non-league contest against Covington (Covington, LA)
In their next game, the Hurricanes play the New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy Bulldogs (New Orleans, LA) in a 4A District 10 contest, on Tuesday, March 12. L.W. Higgins will attempt to move on its 0-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 18-0 league loss to Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA).
