Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Exeter Monarchs (Exeter, CA) and the visiting Minarets Mustangs (O'Neals, CA), witnessed Exeter's softball squad tip Minarets by a count of 9-4.

The Monarchs now sport a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Farmersville for a non-league match on Tuesday, March 12. Exeter will face a Aztecs squad coming off a 14-9 non-league win over Mendota (Mendota, CA). The Aztecs record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Minarets moves to 0-2 on the season. The Mustangs host Riverdale (Riverdale, CA) to face the Cowboys in a Northwest Sequoia- North match on Friday, March 15. The Cowboys go into the match with a record of 3-4. Riverdale won 9-7 in their recent non-league match against Granite Hills (Porterville, CA)
