Pelahatchie Chiefs (Pelahatchie, MS) fans left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS), 6-5 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Pelahatchie advances its record to 5-9 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Tupelo Christian Prep (Belden, MS) to battle the Eagles in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 11. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 5-3. Tupelo Christian Prep won 19-0 in their recent league match against Tremont (Tremont, MS)

The Wildcats now have a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Point for a non-league match on Tuesday, March 11. Independence will battle a Green Wave squad coming off a 8-2 league loss to New Hope (Columbus, MS). The Green Wave record now stands at 5-10.
