In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Linden Lions baseball team scored a close 3-2 win over the Tokay Tigers.

The Lions now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Calaveras for a Mother Lode League challenge on Friday, March 14. Linden will clash with a Red Hawks team coming off a 10-2 non-league loss to Argonaut (Jackson, CA). The Red Hawks record now stands at 2-9.

With the defeat, Tokay drops to 2-7 on the year. The Tigers host Weston Ranch (Stockton, CA) to clash with the Cougars in a San Joaquin Athletic Association challenge on Wednesday, March 12. The Cougars go into the challenge with a record of 4-3. Weston Ranch won 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against West (Tracy, CA)
