March 11, 2025: Wilson, AR 72395 The Newport Greyhounds (Newport, AR) baseball got by the host Rivercrest Colts (Wilson, AR), 5-4 in Tuesday's league challenge.
The Greyhounds now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Harrisburg for a 3A Region 3 challenge on Thursday, March 13. Newport will clash with a Hornets team coming off a 16-0 league win over Osceola (Osceola, AR). The Hornets record now stands at 4-0.
With the defeat, Rivercrest drops to 0-3 on the year. The Colts travel to McCrory (McCrory, AR) to clash with the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 14. The Jaguars go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. McCrory won 6-1 in their recent league challenge against Des Arc (Des Arc, AR)
