March 11, 2025: Pleasant View, UT 84414 The Ridgeline Riverhawks baseball team scored 17 runs and held the host Weber Warriors to 2 in the Riverhawks non-league win on Tuesday.
The Riverhawks now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cedar for a non-league test on Friday, March 14. Ridgeline will play a Reds team coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Pine View (St. George, UT). The Reds record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Weber drops to 0-1 on the year. The Warriors travel to Clearfield (Clearfield, UT) to play the Falcons in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 12. The Falcons go into the test with a record of 0-1. Clearfield lost 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Davis (Kaysville, UT)
Game Summary
Weber Warriors Varsity fell to Clearfield Varsity Falcons 6-5 on Wednesday on the final play of the game. Clearfield Varsity Falcons were down 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Logan Fenn doubled, scoring two runs. Weber Warriors Varsity opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two doubles. Weber Warriors Varsity first got on the board when Riley Morris doubled, scoring one run. Clearfield Varsity Falcons tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a double by Matt Rudman. and an error. Weber Warriors Varsity took the lead in the top of the sixth inning after Kayson Badger singled, and Fenn balked, each scoring one run. Clearfield Varsity Falcons captured the lead, 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh when George Garcia singled, scoring one run, and Fenn doubled, scoring two runs.
