Georgia High School Soccer - Walnut Grove knocks off Apalachee
March 11, 2025: Winder, GA 30680 The Walnut Grove Warriors soccer squad scored 5 points and held the host Apalachee Wildcats to 0 in the Warriors non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Warriors now hold a 4-5 record. They play next when they host George Walton Academy for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 13. Walnut Grove will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over United Home Schoolers (Oxford, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, Apalachee moves to 2-7 on the year. The Wildcats host Alcovy (Covington, GA) to play the Tigers in a 5A Region 8 bout on Thursday, March 13. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Alcovy lost 10-0 in their recent league bout against Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA)
