In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) soccer team routed the visiting Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), by a count of 6-1.

Next, the Golden Lions battle the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A contest, on Thursday, March 13.
