California High School Lacrosse - La Costa Canyon overwhelms Mater Dei
March 11, 2025: Carlsbad, CA 92009 The La Costa Canyon Mavericks lacrosse squad scored 13 points and limited the visiting Mater Dei Monarchs to 6 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Mavericks now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Del Norte for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 19. La Costa Canyon will clash with a Nighthawks squad coming off a 15-5 non-league win over Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA). The Nighthawks record now stands at 5-0.
With the loss, Mater Dei falls to 1-2 on the year. The Monarchs host Foothill (Santa Ana, CA) to clash with the Knights in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 15. The Knights go into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Foothill lost 9-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Canyon (Anaheim, CA)
