El Modena Vanguards (Orange, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Foothill Knights (Santa Ana, CA), 11-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Vanguards now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they host Canyon for a Crestview challenge on Thursday, March 14. El Modena will battle a Comanches squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over El Dorado (Placentia, CA). The Comanches record now stands at 11-2.

With the loss, Foothill falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Yorba Linda (Yorba Linda, CA) to battle the Mustangs in a North Hills challenge on Thursday, March 14. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 4-9. Yorba Linda won 10-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Esperanza (Anaheim, CA)
