March 12, 2025: Belmont, NC 28012 Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Northwest Guilford moves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Vikings host Grimsley (Greensboro, NC) to clash with the Whirlies in a Metro 4A test on Tuesday, March 18. The Whirlies come into the test with a record of 2-1. Grimsley won 1-0 in their recent non-league battle against Reagan (Pfafftown, NC)
Next up, the Red Raiders battle the Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC) in a Big South 3A battle, on Friday, March 14. South Point will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Jaguars enter the battle with a 7-0 record after their 4-0 league win over Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC).
