North Carolina High School Baseball - McMichael nips South Stokes
March 12, 2025: Mayodan, NC 27027 The McMichael Phoenix baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting South Stokes Sauras to 6 in the Phoenix non-league win on Wednesday.
The Phoenix now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Reidsville for a test on Tuesday, March 18. McMichael will play a Rams team coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Rams record now stands at 0-5.
With the defeat, South Stokes drops to 1-2 on the year. The Sauras host Alleghany (Sparta, NC) to play the Trojans in a non-league test on Friday, March 14. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 1-3. Alleghany lost 12-7 in their recent non-league test against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)
