Georgia High School Soccer - Gilmer knocks off Dawson County
March 12, 2025: Dawsonville, GA 30534 Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA) and the host Dawson County Tigers (Dawsonville, GA), saw Gilmer's soccer squad triumph over Dawson County by a count of 5-0.
The Bobcats (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Pickens (Jasper, GA). The Dragons enter the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Pickens was overwhelmed by Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, March 17. Dawson County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Raiders enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA).
