The Jesse Carson Cougars got by the visiting Cox Mill Chargers softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Cougars (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Vikings go into the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Central Cabarrus nudged Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 10-3, in a non-league battle.

The Chargers now sport a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Cuthbertson for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 14. Cox Mill will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 3-1.
