March 13, 2023: Morganton, NC 28655 Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) and the host Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), saw Chase's baseball squad knock off Freedom by a count of 25-3.
Coming up next, the Trojans play the Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A battle, on Tuesday, March 14. Chase will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Wolverines enter the battle with a 3-3 record after their 15-1 non-league loss to East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC).
The Patriots now possess a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shelby for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 15. Freedom will play a Golden Lions squad coming off a 8-6 league loss to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Golden Lions record now stands at 3-2.
