March 13, 2024: Ashburn, VA The Independence lacrosse squad scored 18 points and restricted the visiting Gainesville Cardinals to 4 in the non-league victory on Wednesday.
The now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Meridian for a non-league battle on Friday, March 15. Independence will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 16-9 non-league win over Lightridge (Aldie, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.
In their next game, the Cardinals clash with the Patriot Pioneers (Nokesville, VA) in a Cedar Run game, on Friday, March 15. Gainesville will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Pioneers enter the game with a 0-0 record after their 0-0 non-league Fauquier (Warrenton, VA).
