Virginia High School Soccer - Menchville knocks off Poquoson
March 13, 2024: Poquoson, VA 23662 Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Monarchs confront the Lafayette Rams (Williamsburg, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, March 20. Menchville will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Rams enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Princess Anne (Virginia Beach, VA).
The Islanders now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Deep Creek for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Poquoson will confront a Hornets team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Churchland (Portsmouth, VA). The Hornets record now stands at 1-0.
