In Thursday's non-league bout, the Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Asheville Christian Academy Lions (Swannanoa, NC), by a tally of 8-2.

Next up, the Cougars encounter the Charlotte Latin Hawks (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 14. Carmel Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Hawks enter the bout with a 5-2 record after their 11-0 non-league win over Union Academy (Monroe, NC).
