The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) and the visiting Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC), saw South Point's baseball team get by Cherryville by a tally of 5-4.

The Red Raiders (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Forestview (Gastonia, NC). The Jaguars enter the Big South 3A battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Forestview was tipped by South Point (Belmont, NC), 11-1, in a league battle.
