The Assumption Mustangs softball team scored 12 runs and held the host South Lafourche Tarpons to 0 in the Mustangs league win on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Springfield for a non-league battle on Friday, March 14. Assumption will encounter a Bulldogs team coming off a 8-4 league loss to Northlake Christian (Covington, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, South Lafourche moves to 1-12 on the season. The Tarpons host A.J. Ellender (Houma, LA) to encounter the Patriots in a 4A District 7 battle on Tuesday, March 18.
