In Thursday's non-league match, the host Ridge View Blazers softball team scored a nice 12-0 win over the Fairfield Central Griffins.

The Blazers (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Westwood (Blythewood, SC). The Redhawks come into the AAAAA Region 5 match with a 2-7 record. In their last match, Westwood was routed by White Knoll (Lexington, SC), 12-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Griffins battle the Chester Cyclones (Chester, SC) in a AA Region 3 match, on Tuesday, March 18. Fairfield Central will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
