March 13, 2026: Abbott, TX 76621 The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Abbott Panthers (Abbott, TX) and the visiting Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, TX), saw Abbott's baseball team gain a win over Chester by a tally of 10-1.
The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Thorndale (Thorndale, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Thorndale ran past Rio Vista (Rio Vista, TX), 11-4, in a non-league contest.
The Yellowjackets now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trinity for a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 17. Chester will confront a Tigers team coming off a 14-2 non-league loss to Douglass (Douglass, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 2-11.
