In Friday's non-league test, the Marana Tigers (Tucson, AZ) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, AZ), by a margin of 18-3.

The Tigers now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coconino for a non-league outing on Saturday, March 14. Marana will encounter a Panthers team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Millennium (Goodyear, AZ). The Panthers record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Gilbert moves to 4-6 on the season. The Tigers travel to Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ) to clash with the Jaguars in a 6A Fiesta test on Tuesday, March 24. The Jaguars go into the test with a record of 4-4.
