Poth Pirates (Poth, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Nixon-Smiley Mustangs (Nixon, TX), 8-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Poth upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Pirates host Great Hearts Northern Oaks (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Griffins in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 15. The Griffins come into the test with a record of 3-4. Great Hearts Northern Oaks lost 4-1 in their recent non-league test against Charlotte (Charlotte, TX)

With the defeat, Nixon-Smiley falls to 6-5 on the season. The Mustangs host Brentwood Christian (Austin, TX) to battle the Bears in a non-league test on Thursday, March 16. The Bears come into the test with a record of 2-0. Brentwood Christian won 9-6 in their recent non-league test against Granger (Granger, TX)
