March 14, 2024: Charlotte, NC 28227 The crowd at Thursday's league test between the Providence Panthers (Charlotte, NC) and the host Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), saw Providence's soccer squad knock off Independence by a margin of 2-0.
The Panthers now sport a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Rocky River for a Southwestern 4A test on Tuesday, March 19. Providence will meet a Ravens squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to Butler (Matthews, NC). The Ravens record now stands at 0-3.
With the loss, Independence drops to 3-3 on the season. The Patriots travel to East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Eagles in a Southwestern 4A test on Tuesday, March 19. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 3-2. East Mecklenburg won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Forestview (Gastonia, NC)
