The DeSoto Central Jaguars routed the host North Pike Jaguars softball squad by a final score of 6-1 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Jaguars (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against Bryant (Irvington, AL). The Hurricanes go into the non-league battle with a 3-6 record.

The Jaguars now possess a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Brookhaven for a 5A Region 3 battle on Tuesday, March 19. North Pike will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Lawrence County (Monticello, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 5-5.
