Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC) and the host Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC), observed Dixon's softball team edge Laney by a score of 7-6.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs encounter the Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs (Jacksonville, NC) in a non-league test, on Monday, March 18. Dixon will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Monarchs come into the test with a 0-6 record after their 18-0 league loss to New Bern (New Bern, NC).
