Pace Patriots (Pace, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fort Walton Beach Vikings (Fort Walton Beach, FL), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they host Wakulla for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. Pace will battle a War Eagles squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Marianna (Marianna, FL). The War Eagles record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, Fort Walton Beach falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Vikings host Watkins Memorial (Pataskala, OH) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 26. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
