In Friday's non-league bout, the Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Middleton Tigers (Middleton, TN), by a tally of 17-2.

Next up, the Bears encounter the Belmont Cardinals (Belmont, MS) in a 3A Region 1 bout, on Tuesday, March 18. Alcorn Central will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record.

The Tigers (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Liberty Tech Magnet (Jackson, TN). The Crusaders enter the non-league bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Liberty Tech Magnet was overwhelmed by Clarksburg (Clarksburg, TN), 12-7, in a non-league bout.
