March 14, 2025: Monette, AR 72447 The Manila Lions (Manila, AR) baseball trounced the host Buffalo Island Central Mustangs (Monette, AR), 10-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Osceola for a 3A Region 3 challenge on Monday, March 17. Manila will clash with a Seminoles team coming off a 16-0 league loss to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR). The Seminoles record now stands at 0-2.
With the defeat, Buffalo Island Central drops to 2-1 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR) to clash with the Greyhounds in a 2A Region 3 challenge on Monday, March 17. The Greyhounds go into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Marmaduke lost 10-6 in their recent league challenge against Bay (Bay, AR)
