In Friday's non-league test, the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC), by a tally of 15-4.

Next, the Pirates clash with the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, March 18. Porter Ridge will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Mavericks go into the test with a 2-0 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC).

The Sabres (0-2) will now prepare for their test against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Ardrey Kell was routed by Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC), 7-4, in a non-league test.
