In Friday's non-league match, the Cypress Bay Lightning (Weston, FL) lacrosse team edged the visiting Palmetto Panthers (Miami, FL), by a count of 9-8.

Next up, the Lightning confront the West Broward Bobcats (Pembroke Pines, FL) in a Independent game, on Tuesday, March 18. Cypress Bay will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Bobcats come into the game with a 9-4 record after their 5-3 non-league win over Olympic Heights (Boca Raton, FL).
