Germantown Mavericks (Madison, MS) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Harrison Central Red Rebels (Gulfport, MS), 3-0 in a non-league match.

The Mavericks (9-2) will now prepare for their match against West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS). The Knights come into the non-league match with a 13-3 record. In their last match, West Lauderdale nipped Lake (Lake, MS), 6-4, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Red Rebels battle the Gulfport Admirals (Gulfport, MS) in a 7A Region 4 match, on Tuesday, March 17. Harrison Central will attempt to better on its 12-5 season record.
