The Briarcrest Christian Saints crushed the host Tupelo Golden Wave baseball team by a tally of 8-0 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Saints now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mountain Brook for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 16. Briarcrest Christian will face a Spartans team coming off a 14-2 non-league win over St. Martin (Ocean Springs, MS). The Spartans record now stands at 2-5.

Next, the Golden Wave face the Neumann Celtics (Naples, FL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, March 15. Tupelo will attempt to advance on its 5-7 season record. The Celtics enter the bout with a 5-4 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Jackson Prep (Jackson, MS).
