Alaska High School Basketball - Shaktoolik crushes Akiuk Memorial
March 15, 2023: Kasigluk, AK 99609 Shaktoolik Wolverines (Shaktoolik, AK) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Akiuk Memorial Grizzlies (Kasigluk, AK), 67-29 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Shaktoolik upgrades its record to 17-2 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Aqqaluk (Noorvik, AK) to clash with the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, March 16. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 14-3. Aqqaluk won 49-47 in their recent non-league bout against Klawock (Klawock, AK)
Next up, the Grizzlies clash with the Klawock Chieftains (Klawock, AK) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, March 16. Akiuk Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 18-7 season record. The Chieftains go into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 49-47 non-league loss to Aqqaluk (Noorvik, AK).
